	Elles viennent du Chili, de Bolivie, du Paraguay et d’Argentine, 5 femmes témoignent des violences qu’elles ont subies à Buenos Aires et des combats qu'elles ont menés pour mettre fin à ce fléau. Five women of different nationalities describe the violence they suffered in Buenos Aires. They come from Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay and Argentina. They fight to find a solution and an end to this disaster. This film is a feminist view of the problems of the violence against women and recounts actions led by the governments, police and even NGOs.

	Maria Galindo est une activiste féministe et lesbienne connue en Bolivie. Psychologue et journaliste, elle dénonce les violences à l'encontre des femmes et des homosexuels. Elle a créé le collectif "Mujeres Creando". Maria Galindo is a well known feminist and lesbian activist in Bolivia. As a psychologist and reporter, she used different communication media to denounce the violence against women and gay people. She created the association “Mujeres Creando”

	Agniaszka est diplomée d’histoire de l’art à Poznan (2001), du département Krzysztof Kieslowski à l’université Silesia de katowice (20005) et du Andrzej Wajda Master School de Varsovie (2006). Elle est l’auteure de plusieurs courts métrages de fiction et de documentaires lauréats de nombreux festivals. Agniaszka studied Art History at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (2001), cultural studies at the University of Wroclaw (2002), directing at the Krzysztof Kieslowski radio and television department at the Silesia University in Katowice (2005) and the Andrzej Wajda Master School of Film Directing in Warsaw (2006). She is the author of several short fiction and documentary films: Guanipa (2003), Kapelusz (2003), 3 Love (2004), Orphans (2005), Article 567 (2006) and a laureate of many festival awards.

Réalisatrice indépendante, Erin Palmquist produit des documentaires à but éducatif. Elle travaille actuellement sur «Exiled in America», un long métrage sur les réfugiés iraquiens en Californie. Erin Palmquist is an independent filmmaker who feels strongly about creating documentary film as a means for community outreach and education. She graduated from San Francisco State University's Cinema Program with an emphasis in visual anthropology and cinematography. She was the producer, editor, and director of photography for "BDSM: It's Not What You Think!". She is currently in the early production stages, as co-producer and director of photography, on "Exiled in America" a feature length documentary about Iraqi Refugees in California.

Her feature film script, The Papaya Factory, a musical comedy about a fourteen year old Cuban-American girl in 1984 Miami (Tribeca Film Festival's All Access, 2007) is being produced by Jamin O'Brien (Worldview Entertainment).

But Some Are Brave is an innovative, multi-layered animated film project. This short poetic chronicle introduces iconic characters and historic events in a flurry of emotional and psychological rhythms. The metaphorical structure of the film tells the cultural and political histories of communities under attack.

	Grace Channer est peintre et artiste multi-media qui vit et travaille à Toronto. elle expose sa première installation vidéo ' biguum" en 2005 au sein du groupe the hero Project. En 1993, Dionne Brand lui a consacré un film « Long Time Comin ». Grace Channer is a painter and multi-media visual artist. In 1993, Dionne Brand directed a film, “Long Time Comin” about Channer’s work and the political context surrounding a black woman artist in the culture industry of Canada. By 1995 Channer had embarked in a new direction in her work. She was inspired by and engaged in a specific set of artistic and theoretical discourses that manifested in her multi-media installations and paintings. This led her to animation, a format that permitted interaction with a larger audience in an expanded political and artistic dialogue. She exhibited her first animated video installation work called, ”Biguum The Bathari” in 2005, in the group show “The Hero Project.” Channer received a Postgraduate Diploma in Animation Filmmaking from Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.

A travers plusieurs témoignages de gays et lesbiennes, le film suit le travail de l'avocate Alice Nkom qui lutte avec témérité contre les lois homophobes du pays. In Cameroon, homosexuality is punishable by a prison sentence. The film follows the work of a lawyer, Alice Nkom as she bravely represents several gays and lesbians in their struggle against homophobia in their country.

Depuis, Shine Louise Houston se consacre à sa société de production, Pink and White Production qui propose des représentations positives et alternatives de la sexualité lesbienne. Her first release, The Crash Pad, has been screened world-wide. Shine was awarded Hottest Dyke Scene in the first Feminist Porn Award in Toronto in 2006. Since she won more awards with her latest films. Her production company, Pink and White production, is focused on bringing alternative and positive expressions of sexuality to the lesbian community.

		Internement psychiatrique pour celles qui refusaient le patriarcat dans les années 1940, héritage de peur et de silence transmis par des mères soumises ou situation dramatique des lesbiennes étrangères ayant choisi l'Espagne comme terre d'asile : ce film structuré en 3 contes illustre les discriminations subies par les femmes au fil des générations. 3 tales illustrate with strong images the discriminations sustained by women. From the psychiatric confinement for women who refused patriarchy to the inheritance of fear, silence and annihilation of the personality transmitted by the mothers and the situation of the foreign lesbians who chose Spain as a country of asylum.

	Elena Garcia Oliveros
Elena García-Oliveros est née à Madrid en 1967. Artiste, elle participe à de multiples expositions ainsi qu'à des performances sous la dénomination “Arte- Ejecutivo”. Dans les années 2000, elle crée le groupe TLS, avec lequel elle crée plusieurs interventions “Visual-LES”. Egalement éducatrice, elle est membre d'Amnesty International et fait ainsi partie du groupe “Enterarte” de Acción Educativa. Elena Garica-Oliveros was born in Madrid in 1967. She is an artist and an educator. Graduated in Arts, she has been the pupil of Mitsuo Miura, Miguel Perez and Arturo Martin Burgos. Since 1987, she has been participating in collective exhibitions and performances. She already participated in the lesbian congress Bagdam in Toulouse and in activities in the LGBT centre in Paris. She is also member of the Amnesty International educational team and participates in visual experimentations projects.
