Rene Portland had three training rules during her 26 years coaching basketball at Pennsylvania State University - no drinking, no drugs and no lesbians. Training Rules examines how women’s collegiate sports, caught in a web of homophobic practices, colludes in the destruction of the lives and dreams of many of its most talented athletes. Dee Mosbacher
Dee Mosbacher est psychiatre, réalisatrice et productrice de documentaires: Straight from the Heart en 1994 (nominé pour un Academy Award™), "Out for a Change" en 1995 et "All God's Children" en 1996. En 2002, son documentaire "Radical Harmonies" remporte le prix du public du meilleur documentaire au Festival International du Film Gay et Lesbien de San Francisco. Elle est la fondatrice et présidente de Woman Vision, une organisation à but non-lucratif dont la mission est de promouvoir le justice sociale par la production de film et vidéo éducatifs (www.womanvision.org).
Dee Mosbacher is a psychiatrist (MD. PhD) and a documentary filmmaker and producer. She was a producer/director of "Straight from the Heart", 1994 (Academy Award™ nomination); "Out for a Change", 1995 (Apple Award, National Educational Media Network); and "All God's Children", 1996 (Best Documentary, National Black Arts Film Festival). Her 2002 documentary "Radical Harmonies" won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the San Francisco International Lesbian and Gay Film Festival and the award for outstanding soundtrack at Outfest. She is the founder and President of Woman Vision, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote social justice through the production of educational films and video (www.womanvision.org)

Fawn Yacker
Fawn Yacker est réalisatrice, productrice et directrice de photographie pour le cinéma et la vidéo. Elle a dirigé ou co-dirigé de nombreux films, dont : "Deadly Deception" (Academy Award, meilleur court métrage documentaire, 1991); "In the Shadow of the Stars" (Academy Award, meilleur long métrage documentaire, 1991), "A Leap Across the Bar Lines" (vanqueur du prix Bronze Apple, 1993).
Fawn Yacker is a Producer/Director and a Director of Photography for film and video. Her cinematography credits include (as director or co-director): "Deadly Deception" (Academy Award, best short documentary, 1991); "In the Shadow of the Stars" (Academy Award, best feature length documentary, 1991); "A Leap Across the Bar Lines" (winner of the Bronze Apple, 1993).
Fawn was the principal cinematographer for "Training Rules", which she co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed together with Dee Mosbacher. |
