Emilie Jouvet est une photographe et réalisatrice de 33 ans.
Après des études aux Beaux Arts et à l'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, elle s’installe à Paris. En 2000 elle fait partie du collectif Queer factory, puis elle fonde l'association TTMF en 2005 et en 2009, le groupe d'artistes Fem Menace, avec Wendy Delorme, Louise De Ville et Judy Minx.
Exposé dans de nombreuses galeries et Centres d’Art Contemporain (Agnès B, ArtRebels, Tristesse Deluxe,...) son travail photographique explore les figures de la scène underground parisienne, berlinoise et de San Francisco, dans leur intimité et leur lâcher-prise ou dans des mises en scène subversives jouant avec le genre et l'identité. Remarqués et primés dans divers festivals internationaux (Berlin, Copenhague, Amsterdam, Toronto, Madrid Seattle,...) ses films et courts métrages à l'esthétique unique, sexy et engagée, exposent avec intensité la beauté des corps qui s’affirment et luttent contre leurs propres frontières biologiques et culturelles. Son premier long métrage « One night stand » est le premier film français ouvertement queer. Son second film « Too Much Pussy! Feminists Sluts in The Queer X Show », un road-movie documentaire entre filles sur le mouvement féministe pro-sexe est sorti en salles cet été.
Photographer and filmmaker, she works also as a freelance photographer for magazines. Her personal, artistic, and political work shows her friends and lovers in their intimacy, far away from the clichés of the standard gay representations. Her models, strongs Fems, Sweet Butchs, wild Dykes, Feminists, Queers from the underground Parisian and European art scene, travel between genders. She shows their sexy, troubled and confusing identities. Her shifted and provocative art-videos are shown in international exhibitions, queer festivals, and were screened on TV channels. She was a member of QueerFactory an art organisation, then she founded her own queer and feminist art organizations: 'Les Très Très Méchantes Filles' with D.Juncutt and 'Fem Menace' with Wendy Delorme, Louise De Ville and Judy Minx, and organizes parties and exhibitions. Since she made "One Night Stand", her first feature porn movie, she writes a blog diary of her filming experience about interaction between Art, Genderqueer, Feminism and Pornography.
One Night Stand a DIY romantic queer porn, the first french queer porn , won the first price in Berlin Porn Film festival 2006 the special price of the jury at Copenhague film fest 2007 , the first lesbian price on Amsterdam in 2008 and the Feminist Porn Award in 2009. Her last short film The Apple, win first prize in Madrid festival in 2009 and Seattle most innovative short film awards. Her second movie, "Too Much Pussy! Feminist Sluts, A Queer X Show" is a sex-positive road-movie and documentary about the wild adventures of 7 women on a performance art tour, who travelled in a van around Europe during summer. |
