Cecilie McNAIR

Cecilie McNair was born in Vangede in 1986 and grew up in Trørød north of Copenhagen. She has lived in Hamburg and in Paris over two times during which she studied film history at the Sorbonne in addition to working on her own projects. Additionally, she has completed one year at an actual theater school as well as studied Arabic and modern history of the middle East. Currently, Cecilie is a member of the alternative Film School Super16. She is completing her master's degree in film and media studies at the University of Copenhagen at which she also acquired her undergraduate degree with art history. Also, she has completed courses at the short film and documentary school (KDF, Lyngby) as well as taught workshops in the production of films at several public schools. Alongside her studies, Cecilie as freelance has directed three short films subsidised by Zentropa and the Filmværkstedet (the Film Workshop).
