Scenario Competition
Owing to lack of participants, the competition was
cancelled this year. However, Cineffable, mindful of our objective to
encourage the work of women film makers, wanted to support Myriam
Donasis project: Myriam sent us the scenario of Bang Bang
just after the closing date... We awarded her a special prize of 1500
euro to help pay the production costs of her short film.
CEL Prize (Centre Evolutif
Lesbien de Marseille) a gift of 5000 F for a short film.
Sadly, as a result of financial difficulties, the CEL was not able
to award a prize this year. Cineffable hopes to see the CEL back on
top form in 2002 and of course at the festival.
Lesbia Magazine Prize
a gift of 8000 F for a short film
Lesbia went through a very difficult period in 2001 and was not able
to award a prize. A new team has been selected and the magazine is once
more in our favorite bookshops. Cineffable wishes the new team lots
of luck and courage for the future and hopes to welcome a again a Lesbia
jury to the festival in 2002.
