Anne Wheeler est une réalisatrice, scénariste et productrice canadienne. Née en Alberta, elle est diplômée en mathématiques et en musique. Elle se tourne vers le cinéma après avoir travaillé et voyagé à travers le monde durant quelques années, explorant l'Europe, le Moyen-Orient, l'Afrique et l'Asie. De retour au Canada, elle rejoint un collectif axé sur la réalisation de documentaires politiques. Elle a alors l'occasion de tourner, monter, produire, écrire et réaliser des dizaines de courts métrages, avant de se lancer comme réalisatrice indépendante, travaillant surtout pour l'Office national du film (ONF). Parmi ses nombreux films primés, on peut citer : The Sleep Room (1997), Mother Trucker - The Diana Kilmury Story (1996), The War Between Us (1995), Bye Bye Blues (1989), Loyalties (1987) et A War Story (1981).
Born in Alberta, Anne Wheeler earned degrees in Mathematics and Music, putting her way through university as a performer. She came to filmmaking after working and traveling around the world for a couple of years, exploring Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. She returned home to join a collective focused on making political documentaries. Here she had the opportunity to shoot, edit, produce, write, direct and instigate dozens of short movies before flying solo and being a freelance artist, mostly for the National Film Board (NFB). Among the numerous awarded films that she has made, the most notable are "The Sleep Room" (1997), "Mother Trucker - The Diana Kilmury Story" (1996), "The War Between Us" (1995), "Bye Bye Blues" (1989), "Loyalties" (1987) et "A War Story" (1981).
