Long métrage en forme de trilogie, If These Walls Could Talk 2 illustre les difficultés rencontrées par des lesbiennes à des époques différentes, mais avec une unité de lieu : les trois histoires se déroulent dans la même maison.

"If These Walls Could Talk 2" tells different stories that each take an intimate look at the lesbian experience in America as it evolved from the 1960s to the present.
In 1961, Edith is an older woman whose companion of fifty years dies.
In 1972, a feminist discovers her attraction to an outsider.
In 2000, Sharon Stone and Ellen DeGeneres portray a loving couple eager to experience parenthood. Three couples in three different decades, bound by a struggle as lesbians to establish an identity in a society that has often, at best, been ambivalent about respecting them.

Jane Anderson (born c. 1954 in California) is an American actress-turned-award-winning playwright, screenwriter and director. She moved to Los Angeles in the early 80's where she began to write for film and television and, ironically, also discovered her voice as a serious playwright. Her career as a film director began in the late 90's when actor and producer Jodie Foster gave Ms. Anderson the opportunity to direct the film adaptation of her play "The Baby Dance," which received multiple honors and awards.

Martha Coolidge (born 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut) is an American film director. She was date raped at age 16, a trauma that inspired her feature length directorial debut film, "Not a Pretty Picture." She earned her MFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Later in Los Angeles she studied acting and other aspects of her craft. Exceptional performances are a hallmark of Martha Coolidge's work from her first documentaries to her remarkable pioneering achievements in feature films and television. Considered a consummate filmmaker with a unique eye for casting and attention to detail, Coolidge has created a diverse, some say eclectic, filmography of both comedies and dramas in a wide variety of genres and settings from historic to futuristic.

Anne Celeste Heche was born in Aurora, Ohio on May 25, 1969. Anne Heche directed her first feature Reaching Normal in 1999. She then developed and directed a segment of HBO's "If These Walls Could Talk 2," starring Sharon Stone and Ellen DeGeneres as a lesbian couple struggling to conceive a baby.
