Jody LAINE, Shan OTTEY & Shad REINSTEIN

An activist since the 1970's, Jody Laine's passion in recent years has been to produce (with her partner Shad Reinstein) short promo videos for non-profits that work for social change. She's also the creator of the 'dykumentaries': snapshot videos of dyke life. She has been a designer, technical director and stage manager.
Shan Ottey's activism took off with the Gay Liberation Front, Lesbian Feminist Radio Collective, Separatist Gang, Youth Advocates, Women Out Now, and Dykes Against the Right (the D.A.R.!) to name a few. She's a radio and sound engineer. She have been a foster mother to over 32 girls. She has been documenting LMNDF and Seattle queer community for 35 years.
Shad Reinstein is a healer. Sometimes she heals individuals as an acupuncturist. And, as an activist, she's worked since the late 1960's to heal the world. She travels to Cuba regularly to teach Chinese medicine. She first heard about the LMNDF when she did a segment on them for a Mothers Day Feminist Radio Show in Ithaca, NY in 1977.
