Kate LAIN

Kate Lain is a documentary filmmaker who finds her inspiration in the patterns, subtleties, and idiosyncracies of the everyday. Kate's films are kept a bit rough around the edges. Prefering to work in the short form, she becomes intimately involved with each of her projects, working with small crews that are often limited to herself. Kate has an MFA in Science & Natural History Filmmaking, and her films have shown at festivals in North America and Europe. Kate also works as a freelancer in cinematography and editing (NIHERST (Trinidad and Tobago: National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology), Flatpicking Guitar Magazine and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County). She lives near Los Angeles.
