PARIS INTERNATIONAL
LESBIAN & FEMINIST FILM FESTIVAL
Quand les lesbiennes se font du cinéma
In the presence of the film director lamathilde.
Since 1919, the seventh art has already had time to revolutionize its way of representing LGBTIQ+ people and to change some mentalities in the process. If lesbo-queers are hidden from its screens, it is because they potentially constitute a society, and therefore a basis for lesbo-queer counter-power.
This one-hour program is co-curated by two lesbo-queer artists distributed by the GIV. lamathilde and kimura byol lemoine have drawn on the vast collection of videos, and offer diverse perspectives on lesbo-queers, non-binary desiring bodies in the GIV collection from the 90s to the 2020s.
